Professional Experience

Kathryn trained at the Ailey Conservatory in New York City from 2016-2019 . Kathryn worked as a barista in the heart of Manhattan and moved her way to the specialty coffee scene. Kathryn was chosen to participate in an alternative milk testing and tasting with Elmhurst Alternative Milk Co. Kathryn’s work ethic took her to five coffee festivals and won three throw downs (who pours the fanciest latte art). Kathryn Lake was first introduced to Real Estate in 2019 when she moved to Denver, CO, to dance professionally with the Cleo Parker Robinson Dance Company. Kathryn took the initiative to get her real estate license while also working under one of her mentors. She was inspired and motivated to help others move into their better life and decided to be part of the action. Beginning of 2020, she shifted her focus from full time dance and barista training, to part time roaster and full-time real estate in Denver, CO.  Kathryn lives an active and adventure focused lifestyle, her curiosity is limitless and so are her friends.

Who is Kathryn

She is a fearless Dominican at heart who seeks opportunity and growth wherever she is. Growing up in the Caribbean helped her engage with other cultures and branch into other languages. People are drawn to Kathryn’s energy and optimistic way of thinking which has translated into her real estate career. Kathryn enjoys drawing people together through coffee and dream building conversations.

Personal Life

In the cooler seasons, you’ll find Kathryn out on the ski slopes or back-country in the mountains on a random weekday. Once warmer weather comes to the Colorado mountains, you’ll find her trail running, road biking, outdoor rock climbing, and/or backpacking. One of her many goals is finding hidden treasures this beautiful place has to offer with a backpack on Kathryn’s back and legs to take her, her husband Doug, and their dog Finn to explore and enjoy the journey.

Q&A WITH KAHRYN

What is something no one would believe is true about you?

Believe it or not…. I’m an introvert! I absolutely love being with people but at the end of the day, I choose to recharge in solitude with the music nature provides.

What are you a raving fan of?

Movement and Music, not so much in the worldly sense but in nature. The winds have humbled me and the rains have taught me to sing and dance when faced with hard experiences. Movement has been a form of expression when words have failed me and music brings me back to my roots.

What are you doing when you feel most like you?

I’m in a dance studio creating a story with my body and allowing the music to flow through me.
