Chad has decades of experience designing custom homes and master planning communities, both in the Dominican Republic and in the United States.  With deep experience in Architecture, Landscape Architecture and Site Planning, he is the ideal professional to lead the development of Estancia Natura.

Chad is at his best when he’s bringing people together. Whether that’s through developing an out-of-the-box concept for a client or facilitating a quick conversation between colleagues, he keeps a constant focus on helping others flourish in community As an architect with decades of experience in the Design / Build world, Chad has the exceptional ability to balance beauty with functionality. Simplicity and themantra “less is more” drives Chad’s design process to leverage the natural beauty often surrounding aproject.

Personal Life

Chad is an avid cyclist, splitting time between mountain biking and road cycling, and has spent significant time in the high mountains across several continents. You will often find Chad and his wife Krista, along with their two adult daughters and their husbands, on some epic adventure.

What is something no one would believe is true about you?

That I’m actually an introvert. Most people think I’m extroverted, but I am a true introvert. I do a good job at being outgoing and engaging, but I still need to get away to recharge.

What are you a raving fan of?

That I’m actually an introvert. Most people think I’m extroverted, but I am a true introvert. I do a good job at being outgoing and engaging, but I still need to get away to recharge.

What are you a raving fan of?

I’m a raving fan of Brother Lawrence. He was a 17th century monk, and what made him so unique washis ability to be content in the smallest of things. So, whether I’m designing a home, exploring someremote mountain, creating a work of art or just doing the dishes, I want todo everything withcontentmentands gratitude.

What are you doing when you feel most like you ?

I’m outside exploring, likely on my bike, with no set itinerary or schedule.

In an alternate life, what would you want to give a try?

I would like to be a bush pilot serving people living in remote locations.

What are you passionate about related to the work you do and serving others?

As an architect, we have both an opportunity to design spaces for clients based on what they want and the responsibility to make sure these spaces are will actually serve their needs in a sustainable way.

What is the best part of your story so far?

The Four women in my life! My wife Krista, and my two + daughters. Keren Aspen, Kathryn Brook and Luz Celena
