Welcome to Estancia Natura at Spirit Mountain

This is our Family Legacy project, 50+ years in the making.  Me and my family have been developing Spirit Mountain for our personal enjoyment and that of our close friends. Because we care so deeply for the natural world, we also leveraged this rich tropical ecosystem to make it available for environmental studies for students from all ages and from many different countries,  Recently, we started inviting more of our friends to spend time at Spirit Mountain, and they started inviting their friends…. and before we knew it, our little community had grown to thousands who have visited Spirit Mountain and feel equally passionate about how amazing this place is.  Truth be told, this is our family’s favorite place…on the entire planet!  Several years back, I spent a couple of weeks on the farm, and did what I had not done since I was a youngster…I built a treehouse!!  I had been talking about building one up there for years… and finally did it.  Now, for those of you who have stayed in our “Papagayo Perch”, know that this isn’t just a little platform in the trees and it is impossible to describe or do justice with words, so please come and visit, spend a couple of days in paradise and then tell me what you think!  It makes our hearts sing when we read reviews on our AirBnB page.  It really is a privilege for Krista and I to share this special place with so many people.

All this to be said, Spirit Mountain has become a popular destination for people from all over the world.  It has become a place where Humans who are in search of an authentic experience with the natural world, find a unique place, away from all things that distract us from what really matters…each other.  So, a few years ago we started dreaming,… or maybe I should say that I started dreaming of what could be and then I began to share this dream or vision with my family, then some close friends.  So, here we are, sharing the dream with you!   We are inviting a few people into our Family Legacy, and hoping our most favorite place on earth can become a special part of your family’s legacy as well.  We are already an interesting mix of entrepreneurs, environmentalists, academics, designers, professional athletes, creatives, builders, doctors, startup founders, wellness coaches, financial professionals, early retirees, and more.  We are calling this community within the greater Spirit Mountain Farm, ‘Estancia Natura’, and we are intentionally designing it to promote a healthy, well-balanced lifestyle, while meeting the professional needs of humans looking for a more sustainable way of life, while remaining connected.

Spirit Mountain will continue to be primarily a coffee farm, growing some of the best coffees in the world.  If you are not familiar with Spirit Mountain Coffee, check out the website, and order yourself some yummy coffee from any one of our many partners, or come by the farm and pick up a bag of fresh roasted coffee.  That is one of the things that makes this such an incredibly unique opportunity….to be a part of an actual operating farm.

There will be 25 home sites along the upper most portion of Spirit Mountain.  These homesites will be approximately 2 acres each, and are located at almost 5,000 ft elevation, providing the perfect year-round climate!  If this sounds like the kind of place you would like to live, check out our FAQ page and if you need more specific information, just reach out to me or my daughter, Kathryn Wallace Lake.  Either of us would be more than happy to jump on a call to discuss your questions.
